Bruno Fransisco Coutinho, a name synonymous with Indian football’s golden era, needs no introduction. Born on October 6, 1969, in Panaji, Goa, Coutinho’s illustrious career left an indelible mark on the sport in India.
A product of the famed Goan footballing tradition, Coutinho’s journey began at a young age. He quickly rose through the ranks, representing India at the school level as early as 1987. His exceptional talent earned him a spot in the national team, where he would go on to captain the side and lead them to numerous victories.
Coutinho’s club career was primarily spent with Salgaocar FC, where he became a legend. He played a pivotal role in the club’s success, helping them win the Federation Cup, Rovers Cup, Taca Goa, and the National Football League. His exceptional goal-scoring ability and leadership qualities made him a fan favorite and a respected figure in Indian football.

He represented prestigious clubs like Friends Club, Shastri Club, Christian Eminent Academy, AFC etc, He is the first and only recognised International player from Madhya Pradesh, He is the founder of MP Veteran Football Club & also leading as the captain of MP Veteran Team.
